Tommye Blount

Born, raised, and living in Detroit, Michigan, Tommye Blount is a recipient of the 2017 Kresge Arts Fellowship in Literature. What Are We Not For, his chapbook of poems, was released on Bull City Press in 2016. He has been the recipient of scholarships and fellowships from Cave Canem and Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. Work from Tommye has appeared or is forthcoming in the following places: Poetry, New England Review, The Poetry Review, Ninth Letter, Third Coast, and the Kenyon Review. Currently, Tommye is hard at work on his debut full-length manuscript—to be released on Four Way Books.
