Cut Shutters + And Illusions + Judders

ALL welcomes Texas electro-acoustic improvisation duo Cut Shutters (Adriana Valls and Chase Gardner), along with locals And Illusions (Emili Earhart and Michael Groome) and Judders (Scott Gordon) on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 8pm (doors at 7:30pm). Tickets $10 at the door.

Cut Shutters

Cut Shutters is a duo between artists Adriana Valls and Chase Gardner. Both aim to challenge themselves and their listeners through their exploration of ideas in composition and performance within their own personal experiences together and the urge to dabble in the unusual and absurd. Chase and Adriana are looking towards what is in front of them in order to project themselves upon the world. Cut Shutters like to tell you what they're thinking about and share what moments they capture together.

And Illusions

A Madison duo comprised of Emili Earhart and Michael Groome, And Illusions blends noise textures, psychedelic colors, and krautrock-influenced passages in a loosely arranged structure. Sometimes melodic, often rhythmic, usually unrestrained and spaced out, And Illusions sneaks around between miniature ideas situated within a broad backdrop, creating a quilted assemblage of mismatched patterns.

Judder, Scott Gordon by Troy Peterson

Judders is a solo project by Scott Gordon of Madison, Wisconsin that uses guitar and synthesizer to create semi-improvised, ambient-ish instrumentals. The project has a couple of solo releases and issued a split cassette with Surf Hair (NYC) in 2015.
