A celebration of Flannery O'Connor's birthday and release party for Rita Mae Reese's new book, The Book of Hulga. Poems! Live music! Refreshments! Temporary tattoos! A Room of One's Own will be on hand selling books.

The Book of Hulga is a collection of striking poems inspired by Flannery O’Connor, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Edgar Allan Poe, Simone Weil.

“A mesmerizing imagination at work. The language is pared but rich, philosophical and earthy. These poems are fiercely individual, but dovetail into a narrative bright with revelations and wonder. The Book of Hulga is a triumph.” — Eduardo C. Corral, author of Slow Lightning
