Sonja Thomsen Artist Books & Workshop | Arts + Literature Laboratory | Madison Contemporary Arts Center

Sonja Thomsen Artist Books & Workshop

As an extension of her installation in the space of elsewhere at the Madison Museum of Contempoary Art, Milwaukee-based artist Sonja Thomsen has produced a zine for you to unfold and explore. At the heart of the publication is a statement by curator Leah Kolb and a Q&A with Sonja Thomsen. From September 9 through September 30, 2017, Arts + Literature Laboratory will exhibit a selection of Thomsen's artist books in the ALL Library. Additionally, on Saturday, September 16, from 2:00-4:30pm, Thomsen will discuss her role of bookmaking in her installation practice and offer a workshop to participants who want feedback on their own artist books. This FREE workshop is limited to 10 participants. Please RSVP to hello@artlitlab.org including the name, phone number and email of all participants registering for the event. Bring a work in progress or book dummy that you wish to share.

This book exhibition and workshop are part of a series of events and happenings planned in concert with in the space of elsewhere at MMoCA. For more information, please visit www.mmoca.org.
