Women Take the Polls Installation Night

Installation of Yarn-Bomb Cozies to Get Out the Vote!

Meet on the East side of The School of Education, 1000 Bascom Mall

Join women artists, activists, friends, and neighbors on Bascom mall anytime between 3:00 and 7:00pm on October 23, 2018**, when we take the hill in an act of “craftivism!” **PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE, TIME and LOCATION**

Participants will help with a fun (and legal!) installation of artwork created at the yarn-bomb maker days. Our “I Vote Because…” messages will be installed on light poles up and around the heart of the UW-Madison campus. Created in conjunction with The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin and the UW-Art Department, the installation is designed to capture the attention of potential voters and amplify the message that every vote matters in this November election. Like the homemade pink Pussyhat of the Women’s March, our yarn-bomb broadsides will be a symbol of positive voter power!
