Each month, the Watershed Reading Series hosts a friendly and bountiful reading featuring local and visiting writers. Often, the reading is in conversation with our current art exhibit. The dates for 2017 readings are January 21, February 18, March 18, April 22, June 3, July 15, August 19, September 16, October 21, November 18, and December 9. We will have a special Watershed Reading event co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets at Olbrich Gardens on May 21 from 1 to 4 PM. The program is called "Intersections: Writing Where You're From." If you are interested in participating in the series, or have questions about the readings, please contact email@example.com.
The Watershed Reading Series is supported by Dane Arts with additional funds from the Endres Mfg. Company Foundation, The Evjue Foundation, Inc, charitable arm of The Capital Times, the W. Jerome Frautschi Foundation, and the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation.
The Craft Talk Series was established in January of 2016 to connect beginning, emerging, and established writers in our community with one another to share knowledge and resources, foster relationships, and strengthen community. These hour-long lectures focus on a variety of topics, including publishing your work, the craft of writing, and various opportunities for writers.
In 2018 we'll be offering REDTalks, sponsored by and held at HotelRED at 1502 Monroe St. The talks will be held on February 16, March 16, April 20, August 17, September 14, and October 12 from noon to 1:00. Check back for more details.
