Call for Artists: Delivery Deadline, Friday, April 12, 2024
Arts + Literature Laboratory (ALL) invites artists to support community-driven arts by submitting a 6 in. x 6 in. work on cardstock (or other material) that will be sold during our upcoming ALL IN FOR THE ARTS fundraiser on April 16, 2024. Participating artists will be recognized in the event program and website, and those who are able to attend will each receive one ticket to join the reception as our guest. Additionally, participating artists may include a second postcard-sized work (3 in. x 5 in., 4 in. x 6 in., or 5 in. x 7 in.) that will be shown at the Venice Biennale from September 3-November 3, 2024 at the Palazzo Pisani as part of an installation by artist Peter Hopkins. This postcard project will travel to other locations around the world, including a stop in Mexico City en route to Venice.

Submission Guidelines
Eligibility & Requirements:
Please notify hello@artlitlab.org if you plan to participate and indicate whether you will attend the April 16 event.
Artists working in all disciplines may send one unframed recent and original work that is exactly 6 in. x 6 in. square in size. Artists may work collaboratively, if desred. Works may be on postcard stock, or artists may choose to use a different substrate, such as handmade paper, wood, plexiglass, fabric, metal, etc.
The artist’s name must not appear on the front of the work!
Works will be displayed anonymously, and buyers will pay a flat fee of $75 for the opportunity to randomly select one 6x6 piece by a mystery artist. Please sign the back and also return the form below so that we can provide information about your work to the buyer.
If you wish to participate in the Peter Hopkins postcard project, please enclose a second work that is a standard postcard size (3 in. x 5 in., 4 in. x 6 in., or 5 in. x 7 in.).
Terms:
6x6 works are in-kind donations to ALL. As the donor, artists determine the value of their donation for tax purposes. 6x6 works that are not sold on April 16 may be incorporated into future fundraising and development efforts to benefit ALL's programs.
Additional works sent for the Peter Hopkins postcard project will not be included in the April 16 installation. ALL will ship contributed postcards directly to Peter Hopkins. Neither ALL nor Peter Hopkins are responsible for any damage or loss to works in the postcard project.
