Jessica Becker is a community outreach and communications professional raising two daughters with her husband in an old house on an urban isthmus between two lakes. She has received grants from Madison Community Foundation and Madison Arts Commission BLINK! Program for local projects, including an arts and science curriculum celebrating Increase Lapham and yaharareflections.com. Her blog, betweentwolakes.com, was an activator for community conversation during a period of intense neighborhood change. She works full-time as the Director of Digital Programs for Wisconsin Humanities, where she creates digital content and helps to produce Human Powered podcast. She bikes everywhere, cooks dinner most nights, practices yoga most days, and enjoys traveling all over with her family.
