Artist Talk with Gregg Williard

Please join artist, Gregg Williard, in the third floor Education Studio at Arts + Literature Laboratory for a conversation and viewing of his current exhibition, "Paper Play" Art in COVID on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 5:00pm. Following a brief artist talk in the Education Studio, Williard will lead a conversation and a walk through of his show, talking about process, choice, intent, influences and anything else that comes to mind about making art.

Gregg Williard is a visual artist and writer living in Madison, Wisconsin. He studied painting and drawing with George McNeil and Lennart Anderson at The New York Studio School, fiction writing with Jerome Badanes at the State University of New York and drama with The Performing Garage/Wooster Group. His work has been widely exhibited and published, (most recently a one-person show at the Ohio State University Lima Campus Gallery) and novel-excerpts and graphic narratives in Conjunctions, Sweet Lit, New England Review, The Iowa Review, and elsewhere. His narrative mural projects with Bhutanese refugees have been shown at the Overture Community Gallery and U.W. Gallery 7.
