Women Against Hate, United by Love

Arts + Literature Laboratory presents an exhibition of original prints from the series "Women Against Hate, United by Love" by Kelly Parks Snider, Rachel Griffin, and Leigh Garcia, showcasing powerful stories told by Wisconsin women leaders impacted by bigotry, intolerance, and racism.

Opening on Gallery Night, October 5, 5-9pm, the exhibition will be on view through November 3, 2018, concurrent with an exhibition of Kelly Parks Snider's "Hidden in Plain Sight" project, as part of a month of art, activism and collaboration. In conjunction with these exhibitions, Parks Snider and fellow collaborators will be leading maker workshops, youth programming, dialogues and film screenings meant to activate and inspire fellow citizens.

Project partners include: YWCA-Madison, Arts in Action, The Brico Fund, 9 to 5 of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice, Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County, Milwaukee Muslim Coalition, Division of Diversity, Equity, and Educational Achievement, UW–Madison, Wisconsin Voices, We Are Many United Against Hate, Voces de la Frontera, Diverse and Resilient, ACLU, Hmong American Women Association, Monroe Street Framing, Midwest Environmental Advocates.
