Craft Talk Proposal

Information for Prospective Instructors

Proposals will be reviewed by a group of community writers and artists. The reviewing committee will make decisions based on demand for the proposed topic, the instructor's experience with the topic and with teaching, and on references. Talks will be held at Arts + Literature Laboratory.

ALL instructors are independent contractors and will receive a 1099 form prior to teaching. Thanks to a grant from the Madison Arts Commission, instructors will be paid $50 for the one-hour talk, as long as funds remain available.

In the event of illness, emergency, or severe weather, we will work with instructors to reschedule the talk.

In addition to this form, please send a copy of your current CV to literature@artlitlab.org

Thank you for your interest in teaching with us.

Please give us a brief (200 words or fewer) description of your talk. This will be used in promoting the talk, so please make sure it's as inviting and informative as possible.
Please provide the name of a reference who can speak to your experience as a writer and/or an instructor.
Please provide a 3-5 sentence bio, written in the third person. This bio will be used for publicity purposes.
Please provide an email address that you check frequently.
Please provide the name of a second reference who can speak to your experience as a writer and/or an instructor.
