Have you finished a novel and need somebody to find what needs fixing? Trying to get through a first draft and need a push over the hump?
Ben LeRoy can help. Ben has founded and served as the Publisher of two critically acclaimed small presses, the second of which was sold to Simon & Schuster in 2017. He is available to work with authors on their fiction and non-fiction projects.
Ben will gladly read the first 10, 25, 50, 100 pages to let you know how effective they are at grabbing the reader’s attention. You will receive an editorial letter that addresses the overarching issues with special attention paid to pace, style, characterization, and plot. Ben and you will have a discussion about his notes and what they mean for your project.
Please email a 2-3 page (double-spaced) writing sample to literature@artlitlab.org, along with a brief (one sentence to one paragraph) description of what you'd like to accomplish.
For each 25 page section, Ben will engage in a one week mentorship with a weekly check in (as needed). One week/25 page mentorships begin at $150.
Please note this is a self-paced course and will begin at a time mutually agreed upon with the instructor.
