Please use our main entrance at the corner of S. Livingston and E. Main St, on Livingston, at the red doors through the lobby.
Note, the galleries are closed between exhibitions and on federal holidays. The building is closed to the public on Mondays except by appointment or for scheduled programs. Occasional weather-related closures are posted on our social media.
Parking
Free street parking is available: two-hour parking 8:00am-6:00pm, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Paid parking is available in our building at the South Livingston Parking Garage for $1.20/hour. Please be mindful of occasional Special Event parking times, when rates are $15.00, pay-on-entry, during large events at The Sylvee and Breese Stevens. See the City of Madison Parking Division Special Event calendar for Special Event timing this week.
Tip: Other nearby parking garages may offer regular rates during Sylvee concerts, such as Hotel Indigo. The MG&E Good Neighbor Parking Lot, 623 East Main Street, is available for free Monday-Friday after 6:00pm, and 8:00am-2:00am on weekends.

Bike
Bike parking is along S Livingston St. There is covered bike parking inside the garage, just inside the southwestern corner of the garage at E Main St/S Livingston St.
A BCycle Station is along S Livingston St, next to bike parking in the terrace.

ALL spans three floors that can each be accessed by the stairs or elevators in the lobby:

- Level 2: Library | Ellen Kort Mezzanine: Small Press Library, Mezzanine Gallery, and Writing Center
- Level 3: Education | Education Center, Artist Studios, and Third Floor Gallery
Accessibility
The attached parking garage has parking spaces for people with disabilities on floors one and two. All levels are accessible by elevator. Automatic doors are being installed (August 2026).
- Our bathrooms are all-gender and accessible.
- We have hearing assistive devices available upon request.
