The Madison Music Collective and Arts + Literature Laboratory present Luke Leavitt and The Leavitations.
Keyboardist and composer Luke Leavitt brings his band The Leavitations to DIG JAZZ with musical fare that is equal parts improvisation and pop. Deadpan grooves erupt in bursts of free form interplay. April 8th marks the release of their album Rose's Space, which elevates new wave, disco and jazz to defiantly seek joy despite overwork and the commodification of excess.
This combined in-person and livestream event begins at 7:30pm at The Arts + Literature Laboratory, 111 S. Livingston St. Suite 100.
The events are free to view but donations are encouraged to continue this series in the future.
Special thanks to our DIG JAZZ sponsors: Janus Galleries, Dane Arts, John and Carolyn Peterson Charitable Foundation, Madison Arts Commission, Wisconsin Arts Board and WORT-FM.
