Papermaking Workshop for Adults

Learn the basics of papermaking as part of The Shape of the Environment exhibtion at Arts + Literature Laboratory.

Interested in learning how to make your own paper? Join us on Saturday, October 8, from 2-4pm. In this introductory workshop, led by Lelia Byron, participants will learn about papermaking materials, fibers, pulp preparation, adding materials to the paper pulp, and drying paper sheets. Each participant will make their own sheets of paper. Materials will be provided.

This workshop is part of a series of free public events taking place during The Shape of the Environment exhibition, on view at the Arts + Literature Laboratory from August 23 to November 4, 2022. Curated by Lelia Byron, the exhibition includes work by Fábio Erdos, Patrizia Ferreira, Hong Huo, Hattie Lee, Lianne Milton, Richie Morales, Beth Racette, Nirmal Raja, Sparker, Roberto Torres Mata, Maria Amalia Wood, Derick Wycherly, and Rina Yoon.
