Performance Night and Closing Reception for The Shape of the Environment exhibition.

An environmentally-themed performance is scheduled for the last evening of the exhibition, The Shape of the Environment, in conjunction with the closing reception.

From 6-7pm, visitors to the gallery can participate in a social art performance "Chai Stories" by Praveen Maripelly where they will be invited to participate in conversations about the environment and drink homemade vegan chai. https://maripellypraveen.com/chai-stories/

This event is part of a series of free public events taking place during The Shape of the Environment exhibition, on view at the Arts + Literature Laboratory from August 23 to November 4, 2022. Curated by Lelia Byron, the exhibition includes work by Fábio Erdos, Patrizia Ferreira, Hong Huo, Hattie Lee, Lianne Milton, Richie Morales, Beth Racette, Nirmal Raja, Sparker, Roberto Torres Mata, Maria Amalia Wood, Derick Wycherly, and Rina Yoon.

The Shape of the Environment is funded in part by grants from Dane Arts and the Madison Arts Commission, with additional funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Endres Mfg.
