Join us as we kick off the 2023 Winter Festival of Poetry on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2 PM. The Winter Festival of Poetry, a program of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, is Wisconsin's longest continuously running poetry program of its size. Hosted by poet James Roberts, this 8-week series features six poets each week, reading for roughly 10-12 minutes each. The series runs from January 22 to March 12. The theme this year is cheese (prepare yourself with this poem on American cheese by Jim Daniels).
This week's readers are:
- Madeleine Bohn (Madison Youth Poet Laureate)
- Angela Trudell-Vasquez (Madison Poet Laureate)
- Rusty Russell
- Cristin Jacque
- Ron Czerwien
- Rachel Werner
- Olga Trubetskoy
Each week a different variety of cheese will be featured and fun facts about cheese presented. For more information, contact James P. Roberts at JRob52162@aol.com or call 608-242-7340.
