Rick Flowers

Rick Flowers is a singer-songwriter based in Madison, Wisconsin. His music blends elements of soul, pop, folk, and jazz, and his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics have earned him a growing following. Rick’s work as the cowriter and producer on the Rob Dz Experience album, Soul Anthems, received critical acclaim and ranked #12 on the Isthmus top 25 Madison pop albums of all time (2010). He's excited to announce that he is close to finishing his new album, The Surrection of Arvon Floroq. The album will be available on all major streaming platforms soon.

Rick grew up in a musical family and started playing piano and saxophone and writing songs at a young age. Although Rick is well recognized as a premier drummer and he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with notable musicians such as Freddie Hubbard, Richard Davis, James Williams, Charles Brown, Mary Stallings, Javon Jackson and Mel Rhyne, Rick’s first instrument was the piano. Rick’s eclectic taste in music is evidenced by the wide variety of the type of songs he writes. He draws inspiration from a wide range of songwriters, from classic icons like John Lennon, Curtis Mayfield and Prince to songwriting teams like Ashford & Simpson, Elton John & Bennie Taupin. When he's not writing and recording, Rick loves to perform live and connect with his fans and it’s a joy to watch him perform.
