Tavia La Follette | Enduring Faith in the Plain People: Evolutionary Moments with Belle
Arts and Literature Laboratory and The Progressive welcome theater artist Tavia La Follette for her new work about Belle Case La Follette titled Enduring Faith in Plain People: Evolutionary Moments with Belle, on Friday, April 26 at 7:00pm. Free admission.
"As Belle, I will reflect on her life and her times, with curated words and quotes from books and biographies," Tavia explains, "I will then transform back to me and connect the parallels with today and the cultural evolution we continue to go through."
Tavia La Follette, Ph.D., is a conceptual artist, director and curator working in spaces where fields of practice are porous, to build new knowledge for our ever-evolving world. As the founder/director of the non-profit ArtUp, she curates the Sites of Passage projects, global interchanges for the migration of ideas across political/cultural borders.
She is guest curator for the MF museum and associate professor at Towson University, teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs.
