Blaine Purcell

Blaine Purcell (they/them) is a writer from Greensboro, North Carolina whose work reckons with gender, the archive, violence, and their lived experience in the American South. They are a current reader for Callaloo, have been published in Ghost City Review, The Pinch, and Beaver Magazine, and they were the winner of a 2024 University and College Prize from the Academy of American Poets. Purcell is currently completing their MFA at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
