Join us on Saturday, August 8 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm for Creating Belonging: A Celebration, an interactive celebration featuring live music, physical theater performances, creative activities, and community connection.
In a far away realm where things are born from clay and crayon, four creatures come to life from the primordial page to come play, dance, and dream with the guests of ALL. A family of four celestial clowns peel themselves off the page and arrive on the dance floor in search of a rare and endangered substance: imagination. This roaming clown spectacle invites attendees to become co-creators of a living work of art. Each clown has a unique quest to accomplish on the dance floor.
By the end of the day, hundreds of contributions will have accumulated in a luscious manuscript fueled by community connection. It will be a playful, participatory celebration of storytelling, dance, drawing, and imagination inspired by the spirit of Lynda Barry's work.
