Interested in teaching an in-person writing workshop or art class at ALL? We’re accepting proposals for spring classes now!
We're particularly interested in proposals from members of underrepresented groups including but not limited to writers and artists of color and/or with disabilities.
Topics that we’re accepting proposals for:
- Fiction
- Poetry
- Creative Nonfiction
- Hybrid genres
- Drama
- Classes on specific topics and craft tools (e.g., publishing, revision, freelance writing)
Options for class length:
- 4-6 week series (1.5 hours per class is standard)
- 1-day class (3-hours is standard)
- 2-day class (no more than 3 hours each day)
Compensation:
ALL instructors are independent contractors and will receive a W-9 form prior to teaching. The pay is $7 per student per class hour.
Please note: Any workshops with fewer than 4 students enrolled one week prior to the start date will be subject to cancellation. Policy on printing and copying: It is the responsibility of the instructor to create and print any necessary handouts. In the event of illness, emergency, or severe weather, we will contact participants via email and work with you to reschedule the class.
