Mallory Shotwell is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Madison, Wisconsin. She attended Aquinas college, majoring in English, and Edgewood College, majoring in French and Elementary Education. Believing in a diverse and cultured world, she has taught elementary education in Michigan, New York City, and was a Montessori teacher in Madison. Believing in the power of arts education for all children, she volunteered teaching art to children at the Salvation Army and has served as Executive Director of Madison Community Discourse, bringing arts workshops to underserved areas. Mallory has been a curator at the Art + Literature Laboratory for the past two years and is now bringing her passions for arts and children together as she is working as a teacher of early childhood and middle school children at ALL. She is excited to combine her love of English, art, and education in the new adult book and art club in 2019.
