Christian McBride is an eight-time GRAMMY Award winning bassist, composer, and bandleader. McBride is the Artistic Director of the historic Newport Jazz Festival, New Jersey Performing Arts center (NJPAC) and the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Christian is also a respected educator and advocate as the Artistic Director of Jazz House KiDS, and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Summer Sessions. In addition to consistent touring, McBride hosts NPR's “Jazz Night in America” and "The Lowdown: Conversations With Christian" on SiriusXM. Whether behind the bass or away from it, Christian McBride is always of the music. From jazz, to R&B, pop/rock, hip-hop/neo-soul, to classical, he is a luminary with one hand ever reaching for new heights, and the other extended in fellowship—and perhaps the hint of a challenge—inviting us to join him.

Christian McBride

Nicole Glover

Nicole Glover is a saxophonist, bandleader, composer, and educator currently based in New York City. Growing up in Oregon, she was introduced to the music through her father’s record collection, and studied in programs dedicated to learning jazz music and priming students for touring and performing, such as the award winning American Music Program and Next Generation Jazz Orchestra. She moved to the East Coast to attend William Paterson University, where she studied with Mulgrew Miller, Harold Mabern, and Rich Perry, and assumed permanent residence in NYC in 2015. She established herself as a rising saxophonist and indemand sideperson, performing throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and working with esteemed artists such as with Victor Lewis, George Cables, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Christian McBride. Ely Perlman

Ely Perlman is a guitarist, composer and arranger from Tel Aviv, Israel. He graduated with distinction from the Jazz Department of the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts.

Ely is active musically in Israel and abroad. In 2019, he performed in two worldwide tours with the “BujazzO” Big Band, including performances in Berlin, Leipzig, Mannheim, Rochester, New York and Chicago. In the summer of 2018 he appeared with his band in the “Umbria Jazz” festival in Italy. During his studies he has performed with leading artists, including Ben Wendel, Shai Maestro and Tia Fuller.

 Ely’s awards include first place in the International Jazz Competition in Rostov, Russia and an Award of Excellence “In Memory of Ron Baron” from the Israeli Conservatory of Music Jazz Competition. He is a scholarship recipient from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for Jazz studies in 2016-17 & 2018-19. Mike King

Virtuosic pianist Michael King, a Chicagoan native, began playing drums in his local church band at the early age of 4. This fortuitously melodic schooling nurtured an undeniable affinity to the piano and organ, the very seat that he began to occupy, by ear, at age 14. Mr. King is an alumni of Lincoln Park High School and the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory. He was selected to attend the Thelonious Monk Institute and The Ravinia Jazz Scholars program on merit scholarships. Michael has performed with Bobby Watson, Kevin Eubanks, Dave Liebeman, Gary Bartz, Billy Hart, Joel Frahm, Rufus Reid, & Antonio Hart, among others. Currently you can catch Mr. King touring internationally with: The Mike King Trio, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Robin Eubanks, Marquis Hill, Theo Croker, Soul Understated, Melissa Aldana, & Marcus Printup.

Savannah Harris

Savannah Harris is a New York City-based drummer, composer, and producer. Raised in Oakland, California by musician parents, she gravitated towards the drums at age two. Steeped in a jazz tradition, Savannah’s more recent work reflects her versatility. She’s recorded with indie and experimental artists Helado Negro, Kate Davis, Justin Allen, and Standing on the Corner. Her jazz recordings include releases from Peter Evans, María Grand, and Or Bareket. She’s performed with Jason Moran, Ambrose Akinmusire, Kenny Barron, Terence Blanchard, Billy Childs, Christian Scott, José James, and Georgia Anne Muldrow. Currently, she’s been working extensively with Nick Hakim and Roy Nathanson, Aaron Parks, Melanie Charles, Or Bareket, Peter Evans, and Joel Ross.
