Tickets are $10 in advance (https://graminyall.bpt.me/) and $15 at the door. Student tickets $5 off with a valid school ID. Advance ticket sales end 1 hour before the show. Doors open at 7:30pm.
Graminy fuses classical and grassroots music into a toe-tapping yet sophisticated style of Americana they call “class-grass.” They blend a classical string trio (violin, viola, and cello) with the drive of bluegrass (mandolin, guitar, and banjo) into lively performances of alloriginal, mainly instrumental music.
Graminy’s compositions reflect themes of ecology and place. Their name derives from the botanical term for the grass family, Gramineae. Graminy creates “music with a deep, lyrical quality…having the ability to inspire both the mind and the feet to dance.” As another reviewer described, “it’s pure enjoyment just to sit back and listen to the beautiful sounds they create.”
