New Music Series: Louka with John Christensen

Louka Patenaude and John Christensen come together at the Arts and Literature Laboratory on Sunday, March 25, 2018, 3-5pm, in an acoustic amalgamation coined as DARK BLUE GRASS. These songs, written, played and sung by Louka and accompanied Christensen's enormous and ever expansive foundation, infuse songs of a modern folk base with harmonies that seem both ancient and futuristic simultaneously. Given that both members have deep backgrounds in jazz this performance gives a unique opportunity to drive these vehicles even deeper into the Astral Plane!

3D glasses not provided.

Free admission, but a $5 donation is appreciated.

New Music Series curated by Anders Svanoe: The last Sunday of every month features some of Madison’s finest jazz musicians and composers exploring and navigating their own original music.
