Don't miss this experimental music triple bill featuring Daniel Wyche, solo guitar; Emili Earhart, solo piano; and Julian Lynch, solo guitar on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 7pm. Daniel Wyche is a Chicago-based guitarist, composer and improviser. Working with a wide range of physical preparations, extended techniques, and pedal instruments, his solo recordings and live performances are characterized by long-form structured improvisations and multichannel guitar. He has been a curator with the Elastic Arts Foundation in Chicago since 2013, where is work has been described as “crucial” by Dusted and “vital” by the Chicago Reader. In March of 2020, Daniel co-founded The Quarantine Concerts in collaboration with Chicago’s Experimental Sound Studio.Along with his solo guitar work, Daniel is involved in several ongoing collaborations, most notable the trio of Wyche, Mark Shippy, and Ben Baker Billington. His new solo record, “Earthwork,” is out now on American Dreams Records.

Julian Lynch is a musician, composer, and ethnomusicologist. His recorded work includes albums of experimental rock, ambient, and electronic music. Julian holds a PhD in ethnomusicology and anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Emili Earhart

Keyboardist Emili Earhart performs in a number of projects, both collaborative and solo. Earhart earned her undergraduate degree in Piano Performance at UW-Madison's Mead-Witter School of Music ('17) under the instruction of Christopher Taylor. Notable performances at UW-Madison include John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for the Prepared Piano, and the complete Piano Etudes by Philip Glass. In addition to solo piano, Earhart plays in bands, as well as cosmic-drone duo, Woodman/Earhart. She is currently based in Madison, WI and teaches piano.
