Want to volunteer at Arts + Literature Laboratory?
We invite you to join a community of volunteers dedicated to hosting over 200 events at Arts + Literature Laboratory every year.
- Provide a welcoming space for all audiences and visitors.
- Greet and guide visitors during gallery hours.
- Setup and strike the performance space at concerts and events.
- Represent ALL at off-site events like Madison Jazz Fest and Middleton Jazz Fest.
- Document attendance and collect audience feedback.
- Assist at the small press lending library and writing center.
If any of these tasks fit your interest and time, then please fill out the form below. We're currently in particular need of gallery sitters on Saturdays, 2.5 hour shifts between 11:45pm and 5:15pm.
Monthly Volunteer Orientation Meetings are held on a Wednesday evening, to be determined, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Orientation meetings provide a tour of the Arts + Literature Laboratory facilities, an overview of our mission, and basic training before your first volunteer shift. Fill out the form below, and we will notify you when the next monthly Orientation Meeting will be held.
If you have something else you'd like to contribute, please email Public Programs Coordinator James Kreul at james@artlitlab.org and tell us about yourself and what you'd like to do. Advanced opportunities in technical support, gallery installation, and house management are available to those with experience.
