In OAXACA: Life on Paper, curator Roberto Torres Mata brings the work of 35 printmakers from Oaxaca to Madison. On display at Arts + Literature Laboratory from February 17 through April 2, 2022, the show is part of the SGCI Madison: Our Shared Future international printmaking conference March 16-19, 2022. The exhibition features recent work by Alfonso Canseco Peligro, Angel Avila, Alberto Cruz, Edith Chávez, Ivan Bautista, Misayo Tsutsui, Mi Sueño, Hazhe, Mario Guzman, Oscar Juárez Martinez, Daniel Hernández, Cesar Chavez, Eric Pozos, Federico Valdez, Daniel Barraza, MK Kabrito, Dario Castillejos, Enrique Flores, Manuel Bernal, Jedio Gonzales, Horacio Olmedo, Jose Luis Vasquez, Christopher Diaz, Haydee Nucamendi, Iván Michel Franco, Leonardo Martinez, Lluvia Agüero, Mari Mariel, Eunice Barajas, Alfredo Conseco, Jorge Alberto, Taller Subteraneo, Yescka, and Daniel Salazar. Explorando la cultura local y muchos multiétnicos fondos que reflejan las costumbres y tradiciones dentro de las comunidades que manifestar el acto de cooperación basado en acciones realizadas en beneficio de aquellos quién lo necesita, pagando la misma ayuda en un momento determinado, una fuerza clave de Zapotec identidad.

Exploring local culture and many multi-ethnic backgrounds that reflect the customs and traditions within communities that manifest the act of cooperation based on actions carried out for the benefit of those who need it, paying back the same help at a certain moment, a key strength of Zapotec identity.
