How often have you put off writing because you “didn’t have time,” only to find yourself streaming Netflix or watching cat videos online? It happens to the best of us. However, instead of continually beating yourself up over this behavior, there is a better way. There is a skill-set that can be nurtured where people can move their “Someday” thinking to “Today” thinking.
Figuring out how to lasso your desires and carve out the time you deserve, is a skill not a personality trait. In this session participants will use time to assess the many aspects in our lives that both nurture and detract from our personal goals. Individuals will leave armed with new skills and clarity for how to move forward toward the life they dream of. This talk is useful for would-be writers, writers, or anyone looking to actively pursue their dreams in 2017.
Come at 6:30 and share a brownbag dinner with other writers. It's a great chance to meet other writers, trade writing tips, talk about favorite books, or even just browse our smALL Press Library. Craft talk begins at 7:00 PM.
This project is funded in part by a grant from the Madison Arts Commission, with additional funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
